How do I unfreeze my Mac Pro. It does not respond to any commands
If you can not get it to respond any other way, you can force an emergency uncontrolled Power-Off by pressing and holding the power button. about 10 seconds usually suffices.
On a MacBook Pro with fingerprint sensor, the power button is a Deep press of the fingerprint sensor.
This should not be used routinely, as it can leave the Boot drive in an unknown state, since the directory will show as "checked out, but never checked back in" at next startup.
