I am traveling to Dubai and the new iPhones are about to launch while i am there. Previously i have heard that all iPhones in dubai do not have facetime. Is this still the same?

FaceTime is not available in UAE. The change here is that you can have an iPhone with a different region in UAE and maintain FaceTime. If your region changes to Dubai then FaceTime will be gone until you change it back to another region.

Thanks a lot for your reply. So does that mean that If i buy an iPhone 12 in dubai and then take it to another country where VOIP is not banned i should be able to use FaceTime on the device?
