Apple TV 3rd generation remote replacement
I have paired the replacement remote with the Apple TV device and it recognizes it. But the device is no longer on the TV's device list. Tried to add using TV settings, but not showing up as a choice.
The 3rd Generation Apple TV accepts only the small aluminum Apple remote which is infrared, no paring needed, it just works.
The remote has nothing to do with how your Apple TV device communicates with you television, I believe these are 2 totally separate issues.
