Activation lock

I can’t get into my other phone, I know my Apple ID but forgot password! Now it’s on activation lock

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! It seems you forgot your Apple ID password, and can't remove Activation Lock.

"If you forget your Apple ID or password

Your Apple ID is the account that you use to sign in to all Apple services. Usually, your Apple ID is your email address. If you forget your Apple ID, we can help you find it.

Answering Chris’s question! No apple support was not able to help me get in my phone it’s been nearly 3 weeks since my handicapped husband has been without a phone because he forgot his password. It’s on activation lock& they say I have to wait another week. I sent them documents clearly showing that phone number belonged to my account & I was the account holder. It showed all 3 phones on my account, when I first started paying on them, how many more payments that I have before they are paid for. Apple security is over the top & its rediculous. I plan on getting new devices & they will not be Apple. Apple should pay the amount due for the month that the phone has not been in use. All I hear is ‘I’m sorry” truth is “I’m sorry also””
