I can’t stop the music???!!!!!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you are experiencing an issue where you are hearing music play from your device and you cannot get it to stop. We would be happy to take a deeper look in to this with you.

We would like to ask some questions to get a better understanding of the situation so we can look at the next best steps to take.

1.) If you turn your device off and back on again, do you continue to hear the music play on its own?

2.) What steps are you taking when you hear the music start to play? Does it happen right as you turn the device on?

3.) Do you use any other apps other than the Music app to listen to music on your device?

Thanks for following up with us. It sounds like your AirPods are trying to resume some music you might have been playing while wearing the AirPods at some point in the past. This is something built in to the AirPods called Automatic Ear Detection.

Automatic Ear Detection pauses and resumes playback when you remove your AirPods. As a test, let's try disabling that feature from the Settings on your device and test again if that same issue occurs. Go to Settings > Bluetooth > tap 'i' next to your paired AirPods to adjust your AirPods settings: Adjust the settings of your AirPods

Let us know if the issue continues after changing that setting.
