Boxing and Jump Rope in the Workout App for Apple Watch 6?

How does the Apple Watch keep track of Boxing and Jump Roping in the Workout App? Is it simply a timer or is there a way to actually count calories burned?


I would like to do some heavy bag work and jump roping as part of my routine... but am unsure about whether the watch will record the proper information for me.

You can use the "other" workout type and this will measure calories burnt and time of the workout.
