Does the iPhone 12 work with a SIM card?

Hi I was planning on pre-ordering the new phone today I just had a question. My phone carrier is a weird one, I use boost mobile. I just wanted to make sure I can buy the phone through you guys if I have a SIM card and it will work? I know that is one of the options for the phone but I just want to make sure because I’ve never bought a phone from you guys directly.
