Hi PsyDye,

This is a more dire problem than tweaking. I'm not using my 11 Pro materially different than before the ios 14 update and the battery no longer lasts a full day. I used to put it back on the charge with 60% battery life left at 10 PM and pick it up again in the morning around 6:30am. The battery lasts less time as time passes it seems. I just updated to 14.1 last night and it didn't solve the problem. My wife's phone and my kids' phones are experiencing the same decline in battery life since 14 was installed. Enough so that they mentioned it to me to fix before I said anything to them about my own experience. Is there no acknowledgement by Apple of this ios 14 issue? People have been asking about it here for weeks but there are so many threads on it I can't tell if one of them contains real help beside generic battery help that ignores the real issue.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Ditto to the above. I have an 8 and my wife an 8S and both are experiencing excessive drain since installing iOS14. I have turned off everything possible without making the devices unusable with no effect. Battery check shows 99% capacity. Drain when locked is approximately 1%/hr. When in use with nothing more than voice telephone I see over 25%/hr. Both are much higher than before iOS 14. I am not happy.

right. I've called apple support several times. now they are telling to wipe the phone and reinstall the op sys, all apps, and reset everything manually. its the usual response from computer techs who can't figure out a solution.

why would a new 14.1 install work any better than the current buggy install? Its a lot of work for me. mostly no cost to them.

would help if everyone with the issue calls apple support. Tech said that they log reports and respond accordingly.
