Panda Express Sign in with Apple asks for Password

I recently tried to set up an account with Panda Express app. When trying to sign in with Apple, the app asked for my iCloud password. This seems off to me. Indeed, the official web page for Sign in with Apple clearly says:

At your first sign in, apps and websites can ask only for your name and email address to set up an account for you.

Should I be concerned? Is this normal for an app to request iCloud credentials?

Thanks, Marty

As I read the document you posted, it shouldn't be asking for your Apple ID password. What I was trying to say was if a site doesn't accept Apple Sign in, then they will ask for your Apple ID password.
