text message recipients drop from group texts

I'm having the same exact problem ever since IOS 14. I now have 14.2 and it still drops the first recipient in a group text. Doesn't matter if they have an iphones or not. I've tried to explain this problem to others and they all think I'm crazy!

Prior to sending... All the names are visible on the To: line.... until you send it. Then the first recipient disappears. And to make this even more frustrating... it doesn't happen all the time!

I’m having the same problem. Recipients dropped from group texts.

Happened multiple times.

Dropping anywhere from 1 to 4 recipients. not just the first one.

looks like everything is good until I hit send.

groups I have created.

iPhone XR. Everything is updated.

iMessage to all iPhone iMessage.

I am having the same issue as the others, my recipients are dropped after showing in the to line. Not the same order, seems random and after hitting send only show 2 of the 4. How do we fix this?

This is happening to me from various iPhone users.

My wife and I are android users, and are members of numerous group chats. Several times over the past week, my wife has been dropped from group chats. On the Android side, i see a brand new chat group with everyone in there except the dropped user.
