how do i use amazon prime with my apple tv
The Amazon Prime Video app doesn’t have in-app purchases. You will have to get a Prime subscription directly with Amazon. If you want to additionally buy or rent titles from Amazon that are not included with Prime by default, then you will have to do so outside of this app (e.g. on the web) to add items to your Amazon account. Then you can view those titles in the Amazon Prime Video app on your Apple device(s).
(Similar for Netflix, but Netflix is still supported on Apple TV (2nd generation). Netflix needs a pre-existing subscription. No in-app purchase available.)
On what device are you trying to use this?
Amazon Prime Video is a separate app from the Apple TV app. On some Apple devices, these apps can work together (content to appear in Watch Now and Up Next), but on third party devices, these apps do not interact.
I'm trying to watch it on my NON smart tv, the apple tv is new to me. The fist night I watched a movie on nNetflix from my TV, yes a app I used it but the next night it wouldn't work. I have both of them plugged into the back of my TV. Thank you
