I can’t access Facebook using Safari or Firefox. Why?

I can’t access Facebook with Safari or Firefox: I get a blank screen.


I can use Google Chrome.


The same applies to other accounts on my machine: so I believe it’s not a problem with the plist files.


What’s happening?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

We understand that you're currently unable to access Facebook using Safari or Firefox, and we're happy to take a closer look into the issue with you. To get started, can you tell us whether you're currently able to access the websites from other devices on your network, such as an iPhone or iPad while using Safari? This will help us better determine if there are any restrictions that could prevent access across devices.


If it seems to be isolated to the Mac, let's try the steps in the article below.


If Safari doesn't load a page or webpage items are missing


While most of our experience is with Safari, the steps for Firefox should be similar. Please let us know what you find.
