It sounds like you are having an issue downloading a specific app on your child’s device. We can definitely offer some assistance. Is this the only app that you are unable to install on the device or are you not able to download or install any apps? If no apps will install, follow this:

If you can’t download or update apps on your iPhone or other Apple device

If it’s only this app that will not download, check for any content or privacy restrictions you have enabled on the iPhone that might prevent this app from being downloaded and installed:

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
