Duplicate contacts

Out of nowhere, in my contacts list, I got any that duplicated itself about 30 times. Is there a way to delete all 30 at the same time or do I have to do one by one

There are a couple of reasons you may have duplicate contacts. If you have more than one email account on your phone each one has associated contacts, so there may be duplicates simply because you have contacts in multiple email accounts. To check go to Settings/Contacts/Accounts and see if you are linking contacts from multiple email addresses.

If it is a recent problem and you have an iCloud account with contacts you can restore a previous version of contacts. Log in to https://icloud.com and click on Account Settings. Then look in the lower left corner of the page and click on Restore Contacts.

Beyond these, you need to delete them manually.
