Missing File iMovie

I want to make a project on iMovie and one of my videos say "missing file" how do I retrieve my video content so it isn't a missing file anymore?

imovie imports prior version of a video I edited videos in photos, opened iMovie, created new project, observed the edited videos play in the window, moved the videos into the project and ended up with the prior unedited versions

See if you can find the file(s) using one of these programs. If you go Finder/View/Show Path Bar, it will show you where it is located.
