I have recently purchased a new iphone with the offer of free appleTV for a year. Why do I have to pay. There is a request for card details for payment of £4.99 per month

Here’s how to redeem it:

Turn on your new Apple device and sign in with your Apple ID

Open the Apple TV app. Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS.

The offer should be presented immediately after launching the app. If not, go to the Apple TV+ channel page, signed in, where you’ll see the offer.

Tap Enjoy 1 Year Free.

If you can’t see the free year offer, open the Apple TV App (the square black icon on your phone), scroll over to the tv plus channel, click on that to see if it brings up the Free year. This is how I had to find it.

Or as above use a computer, on a web browser, type in tv.apple.com - sign in with your Apple ID (this must be the same ID you set up your new phone with)


if this all fails you will need to contact Apple directly to assist and they can confirm your activation date.

You must redeem the offer within 3 months of activating you new device
