Pairing two Apple Watches to one iPhone

Hello,

I would like to purchase a watch for my daughter. She is too young for her own phone so I wondered if a second watch can be paired to my phone? I don’t want messaging or calling to the second watch but I wasn’t sure if it’s possible for it to work at all since I already have a watch paired.

Thanks!

As I said, only one watch can be paired with the iPhone at a time. That doesn't mean the watch for your daughter won't function while not paired to your iPhone, but certain features won't function if the watch isn't actively paired to the iPhone, per the duplicate links offered by other users for setting up a family member's watch;

The following features and apps are not available: irregular heart rhythm notifications, ECG, Cycle Tracking, Sleep, Blood Oxygen, Podcasts, Remote, News, Home and Shortcuts.

You can do this through Family Setup, but I’m finding several things I can’t configure through the Watch app. The whole upper part of the setup screen is missing compared to my own watch, so are the lower options like face gallery. The screen starts at General. I had to configure watch faces on the watch, can’t figure out where to configure the Dock latest/favorites option. Verizon couldn’t set it up like a standalone phone, so I had to enable an old iPhone anyway making Family Setup pointless.

Multiple watches can be paired to an iPhone, but only one watch can be active at a time. When your watch is the paired watch, her's would not be paired.
