When trying to set up apple watch 6 to at&t cellular it fails and I get a message- We want to keep your info safe we haven't noticed any activity in a while. We are redirecting you for your security.- Underneath is a blue ok bar. When you press it shows RESCOM0111. At&t can it fix. Any ideas?
At&T told me today it is a software problem that they are working on. They have no projected date for a fix. The rep said it could be tomorrow next week or a month.
once they have a fix they will begin notifying everyone. Must say all of the reps I talked to (6) have been pleasant and worked for at least 30 minutes per call to try to fix and then forwarded it to the next level. That is who called today and said they don’t have a fix.
I waited 30 minutes on hold listening to elevator music for a Verizon sales rep to then tell me that it would cost 40% more to change services from AT&T. They have a nickel and dime agreement for everything. My AT&T bill has been consistent for a couple of years, and cell/data service is fine but this Apple watch cellular syncing matter has my head spinning. It’s amazing that neither Apple nor AT&T has a clue how to resolve the matter.
Sorry to tell you, but you have joined the same club as quite a few people. This error code has been known basically since the 6 came out. I first got those messages back in September. All you can do is call ATT and complain, not that it will do you any more good than the rest of us. 😞
I am not tech savvy but I think this cellular sync issue evolved as AT&T attempted to combine their systems with Directv. Their inability to integrate is why they are interested in selling Directv. Why do I receive an error message about “inactivity” when I log in to AT&T frequently to try to find a fix.
Was this Watch purchased in the US? If AT&T cannot fix the problem, you need to contact Apple Support for help. Use the Contact Support link at the top of the page here.
At&T know it’s something in there system just wondering if any one else has had this problem
I have this exact issue adding a new line to my account. Going back and forth with AT&T for the past day now without any resolution.
Me too, I’m also having this issue. I have spent over five hours working with AT&T on this and another hour with Apple. Is there a bug Apple needs to fix?
The OP indicated it was something AT&T was aware of and AT&T is investigating a fix.

This is my same situation. RESCOM0111 and spent over 5 hours already with at&t and apple CS. Any Resolution yet on your end?
No. I really don’t believe AT&T will fix this. I am giving them till December!st, then I plan to do what another suggested: file a complaint against AT&T with the FCC.
