Safari crashes every time I try to upload photos to etsy listing page

Safari crashes every time I try to upload photos to etsy listing page. I am able to use photos that are saved to my MacBook Pro but not ones that are stored in Photos app.

This is a fix as of 21/10/20.

We had the same problem and it has to do with how the photos were saved. Etsy only accepts JPEG images and apple in their wisdom are now saving files as heic. You wouldn't have noticed but the iPhone is now doing this automatically and when you transfer to Mac it doesn't change the format. Our solution was: go to iPhone settings, select camera, change the storage to most compatible. When transferring check that it says .jpg


It's a simple as that.
