In MacBook pro, "documents" are not syncing with those in iCloud. In the finder on the MacBook Pro, under iCloud, there is a small timer and when I click it, it shows "Uploading 1,025 items" but documents dont get uploaded. How can i sync documents with iCloud so that i can access them on my iPhone as well. Old documents are showing in i cloud but those since last 2-3 months are not syncing. I have enough storage in iCloud.

Sign out apple id from system preferences and then again sign in with same Apple ID and password is done in rare scenario as syncing will once again start from server account .
