Gamecenter is unavailable

I bought this ios 14 and the game that i have been playing states that on ios devices it uses gamecenter to track progress and achievements, however I have not been able to use gamecenter to play any game whatsoever. it simply is not accessible, and from any standpoint completely ineffective or dead space
