I'm trying to install Acrobat Reader for macOS Catalina, but I keep getting the following error: "The installation failed. The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." I've tried looking on the Adobe support site and Youtube, but I still haven't found a solution. Has anybody else seen this error?

Delete the app empty the trash download a fresh copy (from the Adobe site only.)

I've already done that a few times and it hasn't worked.
Then I would suspect it is a server issue on Adobe's end.
Try a different PDF reader/editor, there are many:
PDFpen
pdfExpert
to name a few
