Howdy, aanayek!

We understand that you're experiencing some unusual hotness on the left side of your iPhone.

To start with, it appears you're not on the latest version of iOS, so we recommend you try and update your device by going to Settings > General > Software Update and let us know how it goes.

However, if you're still experiencing some issues, you can also review ways of keeping your iPhone within acceptable temperatures.

Let us know if this helps,

Cheers!

Hello, aanayek,

There may be lots of applications open in your device, or several processes may be running in the background. Those iPhone users who play lots of games on their devices, then they may face overheating issues. This issue may occur due to the increase in temperature and CPU usage. The material and design of the iPhone case may cause overheating issues, so take better care of quality while buying any such case to offer protection to your device. The issue could be background app refresh as well, so turn this off for apps that don't need it. If your iPhone is overheating while plugged in, unplug it and check to see the wattage on the charger (Make sure it isn't an off-brand charger and not too high of wattage). Fast chargers can heat up your iPhone easily along with wireless chargers. You can open the app switcher and close the unused apps. Try Restarting your iPhone and see if this helps. Disable Bluetooth when you don't need it. Check for possible external damages. You can also turn off location services for apps that don't need location (It's a good idea to turn precise location off for most apps). Lastly, delete any unnecessary apps on your iPhone.

Have a good day,

CJM
