How To Search Within A Specific Playlist in Apple Music

I have a pretty sizable music collection, all in my Apple Music (formerly iTunes) app on my Mac. I used to be able to search within a specific playlist but I don't see that option any more. Can I do that?

I have some playlists which have over 500 songs - it'd be nice to be able to search within one playlist for an artist or a particular song without having to scroll and visually find it. There must be a better way.

Thanks in advance for your help, hive-mind!

Open the playlist. Then View > Show Filter Field. That puts a search bar at the upper right which behaves in the expected fashion.
