Missing file—Kindle file via AirDrop

When I accept a Kindle file on my iPhone—from my iMac—via AirDrop it doesn’t show up in my Kindle App. Does anyone have a solution. Thankfully the process is different for a ePub file as my iPhone asks which App i want to open it in.

Airdrop iOS17 Until iOS16, when I dropped a pdf file into my iPad, a popup screen showed to select which app I could use the file. However, after I upgraded to iOS17, such a popup screen never shows and the pdf files are directly stored into Download. I am using a note app and I need to transfer many files, and consequently I am unnecessarily wasting a lot of time to import those files from Download to my note app. I am wondering whether there is a way to indicate which app should receive pdf files. Any constructive advice would be much appreciated. I am also wondering who thought of such an "upgrade", and why Apple takes our decision away. Is there any way to complain/appeal that to Apple?

How do I receive and read large PDFs on my iPad? So someone sent me a largish PDF book today and it's on my macbook pro. I want to read it on my iPad. I tried to Airdrop it, but the image of the book just sits in the Airdrop window. On the iPad, I don't see a way to open Airdrop, there's just the General, Contacts Only, and Everyone for 10 minutes lines on the General pane. I tried dragging it to my Kindle for Mac on my computer, hoping that it would somehow become available on Kindle on my iPad. Nope. Nothing there. I tried to email it, but it's too big. On the iPad I hit the cloud thing to download the attachment and it says it will be "Available in Mail Drop for 30 Days." That's interesting, but I don't have Mail Drop. So I ordered Mail Drop from the App Store, but the sign on was screwy and said I had entered the wrong password when I didn't yet have one. How can I read this thing on the iPad?

Cannot Locate Airdropped files I recently updated to the latest versions of my devices: Catalina (10.15.5) on my Mac and iOS 13.5.1 on my iPad Pro. Since updating, when I send a pdf file (as well as other types) from my Mac to my iPad, I get a beep on the iPad acknowledging that the file has been received, but the window asking which app I want to open the file no longer appears. As a result, I cannot locate the transferred file on my iPad. It doesn't appear in any of my apps on the iPad, and I cannot find it by searching my iPad. How do I fix this?
