(An iPad 'manual keyboard' settings problem?) Trying to type é on my logitech keyboard connected to iPad Pro

Hi everyone! I just purchased a Logitech K380 keyboard (British English) to use with my iPad Pro.

It connects perfectly, and on my Macbook pro is working wonderfully, even when I want to type words in Spanish. I mainly type in English but I study Spanish in my spare time, and being able to type the ´ accent is v. important (I need ´accent for words like. qué). To make it work on the laptop, I hold a key that is a split key that says 'Start/ alt' and then press e and it gives me first the accent ´ and then press e again and i get é - perfect!

With the multi-device feature I can also switch quickly and start typing on my iPad Pro. Connectivity is great and typing in English works great, no problems at all. However, when I try to use the same keyboard combo on my iPad Pro... no luck at all... like nothing happens! It's very odd. I also visited https://www.logitech.com/en-gb/manuals/k380-setup-guide and none of that seems to help me. I've even tried pressing all the key combos I can think of and still no luck.

I can type all sorts of other symbols like €®∑ß∂ƒ and I even found the backward accent: ` ... but not the forward one i need: ´ .

I wonder if it's something in my iPad Pro 'Manual Keyboard' settings (which appear in settings when the Logitech K380 is connected over bluetooth) - image below. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

I don't know if this applies in your case, but I have a Logitech external keyboard with a button at the top that has a symbol that looks like a keyboard. It brings up the on-screen keyboard. Once the on-screen keyboard comes up, you can press and hold a letter, and it shows you various related symbols, like so:

That's the only way I've found I'm able to write special characters on my tablet, unfortunately—and I use é a lot too. Hopefully, your external keyboard allows for quick access to the on-screen keyboard.

I hope this helps.
