Pause iCloud sync?
Has this been addressed yet? You can pause syncing on dropbox, google drive, onedrive, etc. Is there a button you can hit to pause icloud back up? There absolutely should be.
Pull usb cable from one of Mac , or turn off network .

You can eject the device to stop syncing , if you slide off the back up button then that will interrupt the process https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977
How is turning off my network a solution for freeing up bandwidth? I have one at macbook at work and one at home. At times I want to be able to pause sync on one or the other just like I can with my one drive, google drive, etc. This seems like something that apple should be able to easily do. Have a "pause sync" option.
Hi. Thanks for the link. I am trying to pause sync across my macbooks. Sometimes, I need that bandwidth. The link you provided appears to only apply to pausing sync of your ios device.

Before disconnecting your device from your Mac, click the Eject button in the Finder sidebar.
