Series 6 Digital Crown not working.

Tried re pairing, setting up as a new watch, setting up via restore and still no joy. Sometimes it works ok but the animation is a bit ropey. Other times the haptics don’t work when I scroll the crown. I’m assuming this is a hardware issue as I try to reboot the phone holding down both the crown and side button but it only activates the alarm ie the watch thinks I’m only holding down the side button. Anyone else have this? Any pointers would be great. Thanks in advance.

without a doubt. To double check I removed the watch and tried installing from backup and as a new device and no joy. I even had issues with accessing the control centre at one point. Very tiresome experience so mine is being returned. Slowly running out of patience with apple this year. Their customer care has taken a real dive. Luckily I’m within the 14 day period. I’m not bothering with an Apple Watch until series 7. My feeling is this may be another hard ware issue that they’ll never admit to.
