Burn marks on Apple Pencil 2

I’ve been getting burn marks on my pencil 2 after leaving it on the charger on my iPad Pro 11. It seems like this problem will never go away and it’s something we will all just have to live with. I would love to know if Apple has acknowledged this issue because I find it impossible to believe that Apple did not know about this issue before they released the product. Does anyone know if Apple has actually acknowledged it themselves? If so, are they saying just live with it?I wonder it’s going to effect the performance or if it is something that, over time, will continue to degrade the performance of the pencil. I’m pretty concerned that this issue will shorten the life of my pencil because it looks like a burn. Does anyone have any input on this?
