If you go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud, is the switch turned on for Messages?

If the switch is on, you cannot recover your deleted messages.

If the switch is off, you might be able to recover delete messages if you have an iPhone backup that contains the deleted messages. In which case you'd need to restore your iPhone to that backup. In doing so, you'd likely lose other data

Recover Deleted Texts

If iCloud is set to ON for text messages and you deleted some text messages then they are gone from iCloud so cannot retrieved!

If you do not use iCloud for text messages then you can restore your iPhone from a backup on your iCloud account (if you use iCloud to back up your iPhone). Once you restore then your texts will only be as current as when the back up was created. Here is ➔ How to restore your iPhone from an iCloud back up.

The other option is to restore your iPhone from a backup that you may have created on your computer. Once again, if you restore your iPhone from a computer back up then your texts will only be as current as the day and time the backup was created.

If you have a backup created on your computer and If you choose to restore your iPhone from your iPhone from it then here is how to do it ➔ Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

Hey Johnson!

You are able to recover deleted iMessages by using your cloud backup. There are also some third parties that offer it if you do not currently have a backup; a Google search can help you if you opt for that.

To check if your phone has been backed up recently, head into the settings app and tap on your name at the top. Select the iCloud button and scroll down to iCloud Backup. This will also give you the option to manually back it up in case it has not been doing so automatically. Do not proceed with the following instruction unless your phone has been backed up.

Once you are confident your data is backed up in the cloud, back track to the home settings page and select General. On that page, select Reset > Erase all Content and Settings > Erase Now. Wait a few moments for the iPhone to reset and follow the simple welcome prompts it shows you. On the Apps and Data screen, select Restore from iCloud Backup, sign back into your account, and choose the most recent backup with the text not deleted.

Hope this helps!

Edit: Looks like I was beat to the punch, and there does not seem to be a way to delete posts. Sorry for the duplicate response. :-)
