Macbook pro i5 or Macbook air i7 for students?

Im a pharmacy student and im indecisive

between getting the macbook pro i5 and the macbook air i7

which one is the best for me? Im not going to use it for coding neither for editing

but i want it to last and to be fast

Either one will be more than adequate, but in general a Mac with a more capable CPU will enjoy a greater economic life.
