Will I lose data apps contacts etc when replacing my phones battery

First I hope you are not planning to do this yourself? Only Apple or a true Apple Authorized service provider such as Best Buy, has authentic Apple parts for iPhone. Apple does NOT sell iPhone parts. Second, it is possible you could lose your data when the battery is replaced (but not guaranteed you will). This is why you should back up your phone regularly and in particular before any repairs are performed on your phone.
