IOS 14.1 issues iphone7 plus

I am having the same. Its been more than a month now and apple has no solution. Support and the store couldn’t do a thing. Its a software update issue. Not sure if this a way to get people to get new phones.

Try using bluetooth headset only way the phone can be used for calls

I am having the exact same problem. and after chatting with 10 different agents at Apple support I was told its a hardware problem so I need to take my phone to be looked at or mail it in for service number one, the nearest people who can work on this is a 3 hour drive for me each direction and to top that off to get this phone looked will cost over $400 plus tax.

Apple will not admit that their iOS 14.1 update caused this problem

I am also very displeased why should I just garbage perfectly good hardware because they messed up and now am stuck with the cost of purchasing a new phone

same issue as well! brought it to a service provider and they immediately judged my phone because it's beaten up (it's beaten up for over a year now and the mic started to malfunction after i upgraded to ios 14) thank goodness someone came in with an iphone 7 that is good as new and said he was experiencing the same issues as well - just after he upgraded to ios 14.

anyway, i was referred to a senior advisor and according to him the software engineers advised me to go have it serviced. if they can fix the ios first before having it fixed or downgrade it, it would be so fine by me

October 30 Automatic installation of 14.1 on my iPhone 7+ What a mess! Many Microphone issues previously reported continue; for starters, unable to activate microphone for video function.

14.2 doesnt seem to fix the issue as well. Very disappointed with Apple which has so many customers complaining and they are not providing a solution.

also, have you tried the earpods with lightning connector? it's a shame it doesnt work as well
