I can speak for myself when I say that I have not had any irritation issue or much of the red skin happen when I use my Apple watch. The braided solo loop feels quite soft in my opinion and is woven tightly for durability. Ultimately, it would be best if you could experience it and feel for yourself by heading to your local Apple store to check out the ones on display.

Short Answer? : I would say yes to the braided solo loop, but I don't represent Apple and Apple doesn't directly market it as breathable.

Depends on your definition and extent of "breathable."

Information that are provided:

1, The normal Solo Loops are made of silicone rubber and treated with UV for a smooth layer finish

2, The braided Solo Loops are made of a mix of silicone threads and polyester yarn with metal buckles on both ends.

This question does need some clarification. It is recommended that you buy the correct size for your wrist.

Hi and thanks for asking for clarification. The standard bands trap sweat (moisture) under them which can cause irritation on a hike or during other activities. I currently have a Sport Loop band that has a feature on the website as being breathable - meaning it allows some air exchange rather than trapping moisture. I’m trying to decide between the two solo bands and am wondering if the “woven” one does allow for some air/moisture exchange when worn. Hope that clarifies it.
