Switching Calls from Watch to Phone

Hi - I just got the Apple Watch 6 and have updated my iOS on my iPhone 7 to 14.01.

I got a call on the watch and wanted to switch to the phone. When I picked up my phone, it did not have the green bar on the top of the keypad screen (or any screen).

Am I doing something wrong? I looked on this website for the directions, and it says that you can switch from the watch to the phone by just unlocking the phone and clicking on the green bar at the top.

It also says that you can rotate the crown to see a screen that says to transfer the call to the phone while it’s still ringing, but I can’t replicate that either. I’m using my home landline to call myself and cannot figure this out....

Thanks!

The latest version of iOS for the iPhone is 14.1. It was released 2 days ago.

Go to Settings>General>Software Update and see if the update is available there for your phone.

Also make sure that your watch is updated to watchOS 7.0.2.

So this is so frustrating....followed all the steps, all the handoff settings were already set but I toggled them off and on again. Still not working. I have the watch and the phone right next to each other. Call from landline, both phone and watch ring. Answer on watch. Phone is idle. No green bar anywhere. Thanks so much for your commitment to help me Dah-veed. Any other suggestions or do I need to contact Apple Support on the phone at this point?
