Curious why Apple doesn’t support rural America. You can go to any store today 10/23/20 to pick up you new iPhone 12, but if you ordered it you won’t get it for several weeks. Almost every other company when pre ordering, you’ll get the item by its release date it the mail. But Apple doesn’t care? My question is why does Apple not care about rural America?

Neither the online store or the retail stores have an infinite amount. the first ones to buy is the ones that gets the stock.
It was first come first serve on the online store, the same goes for the retail stores
You are not guaranteed a phone just because you have access to an apple retail store.
They began 5:00am pacific time. I Ordered from the Apple website at approximately 5:40am On 10/16/20.
Says I won’t receive it until September 04-10th. I got the case I ordered with it a few days ago, but no phone.

You’re right I was not able to pre order the 2021 Hummer.
I was able to pre order the Apple IPhone 12 Pro.
Maybe the second largest phone manufacturer isn’t as organized as General Motors?
If you pre-ordered your iPhone when pre-orders began at 8:00AM EDT on Friday October 16 (as I did), then you would receive your iPhone today (as I will).

I’ve pre ordered many thing, I know how it works. Usually they’ll stop the pre order and said all pre orders are fulfilled. For example. Go try and buy a 2021 hummer. The most expensive model is unavailable to pre order due to all pre orders being fulfilled.
Yes, correction it said November Not September
In your senario you would not have been able to order at all, because all of the first batch had been sold by the time you placed your order.
