I seem to have a dead USB-C port on my MacBook Air purchased in 2019. Any suggestions on a fix? I am running Mojave 10.14.6. thanks

What have you tried to resolve it?

  1. If USB-C connected hub, disconnect and directly connect item plugged into that hub to the MBA USB-C port. Or, try another USB-C connected hub?
  2. If not a hub connection, did you unplug and replug the device after a reboot?
  3. Different USB-C cable?
  4. Did you install any vendor software that accompanied the USB-C device, or upgrade the operating system afterward?
  5. Scheduled an appointment with either an open Apple Store Genius bar, or open Apple Authorized Service Center?
