microphone isn't working on ipad

No one can hear me on my iPad, all of the microphone settings have been updated and turned on, but still no one can hear me when I speak. What is the problem, is it a simple fix?

In addition to guidance already offered by DanielleM182, there are a couple of other things to try/check.

The tags appended to your post suggest that your iPad Pro is still running iPadOS13. If so, you should update to the current supported version, this being iPadOS 14.1.

When asking Siri a question, does Siri hear you? If yes, the iPad microphone is working.

Assuming that your microphone is working check the Privacy settings on your iPad:

Settings > Privacy > Microphone - verify that Apps that you’d like to have access to the iPad microphone are enabled.
