changing screen time password

i know that a lot of other people are experiencing this issue. when the screen time passcode recovery update came out, i updated my iphone in a hurry, hoping i could finally get rid of that stupid thing i had set up years ago. however when i tried changing the password, it took extremely long to load and normally i quit the app. after i opened it back, the password i had set up was not working and ever since then, i’m having the same error.

i log in with my apple id (and i know i’m entering it correctly, otherwise i wouldn’t have been able to log in right now)

automatically adds another failed attempt without taking me to the passcode recovery screen, won’t allow me to try for another 60 minutes.

apple hasn’t fixed this since this summer. it’s getting sickening. i know screen time is a thing for parents restricting their children but i should be able to reset my useless passcode without having to go through this much hassle. i wish there was at least an option that allowed me to do it on a platform that was less buggy, like my pc. please don’t link any articles on how to recover iphone with a forgotten password or recovering screentime passcode. i simply refuse to reset my iphone because of a thing this small. it shouldn’t be that hard to update the system. this screen time thing has been bugging many users for years now and i think it needs a whole new interface. fix this, apple. i’m really hoping that some people have connected apple about this. i couldn’t because i can’t call the actual support line in america since i don’t live there, and i remember emailing apple about this issue but i had no feedback.
