iPhone 11 charge cord not usb? how can i plug into my mac air and now i need to buy another plug block to use the charger cord?

The iPhone 11 comes with a USB-C to Lightning cable.

Newer MacBook Airs have USB-C ports. They also have USB-C power adapters.

Yes, you need a USB-C power adapter or a different cable.
