Hi,
I have recently got a new apple watch 6.
I have the watchOS 7.02
The hand cover gesture does not work, neither to mute nor to turn off the screen.
I already checked all the setting and they are defined correctly.
Is this a hardware problem? Should I take it for a repair?
Or is this a known problem with apple watch 6?

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to cover your Apple Watch to silence an incoming call or notification. To help with this, please check your settings, by going to the Settings app on your Apple Watch, then tap Sounds & Haptics, then turn on Cover to Mute. Then restart your Apple Watch, test your issue again and make sure you hold your hand on your Apple Watch for 3 seconds and here is more info:
