Too tight hinges

Got my Macbook Air 5 days ago and I just noticed the hinges became tighter to the point that I can no longer open the lid with only one hand. Is this normal?

MacBook hinge become tighten Recently I bought MacBook Air m1 and after 1 month it's hinge has gotten tight so that I can't open it with one hand even when I try, it just lift off the table. To fix it I try to lift up and down the lid frequently but it just work for few hours later it is as before.

No. Take it back to the shop you bought it from and get them to change it.
