Split Keyboard is not supported by any 11” or 12.9” models of iPad Pro - or the new 10.9” iPad Air4.

In practice, no iPad with a screen then exceeds 10.5” has the facility to use Split Keyboard - however, all models of iPad that support iPadOS14 support the new Floating Keyboard.

Both the online and downloadable versions of the iPad User Guide for iPadOS make clear that Split Keyboard is not available on 11” and 12.9” models. When last checked, this documentation has not yet been updated to indicate that the new iPad Air4 is similarly limited.

Yes, it is available. I am using the newest version of IOS - 14.1

My iPad Air was shipped with Multitasking turned OFF. It took an hour with 3 different Apple techs before I found the answer. Go to Settings > Home Screen & Dock > Multitasking > Allow Multiple Apps = “ON”.

what iOS are you using, I'm pretty sure it is available, I can get instructions for you if you tell me the iOS version.

I also have an iPad Air 4 running iPadOS 14.1, i have my multitasking turned on, and still can’t get the keyboard to split, nor do i see the option where it used to be in my last iPad (air2), to turn it on in the settings menu. HELP :(
