stuck on restore screen

My iPhone 7 Plus is stuck on the restore screen. I walked away when it was updating to IOS 14.1 on my computer (connected to iTunes) and when I returned my phone was black and the computer was on the iTunes home page. I assumed that the update was complete so I unplugged the phone from the computer and shut down my computer. Then when I tried to open my phone it opened with the restore screen showing.
