I would avoid an air 1st gen, it’s a 7 year old device, it can only run iOS 12, where as some apps need iOS 13 or newer.

It won’t be useable for long

Wifi is different to 3G/4G a lot of people don’t use cellular iPads as WiFi is available in so many places

The first generation iPad Air supports LTE (i.e., 4G).

Can it be switch Fromm 3 to 4g or am I best looking for a newer model now we nearly on 5 g thanks .. I’m kinda useless when it comes to knowing anything about WiFi etc thanks
