i deleted my message app from my iphone x by mistake. how do i get it back
I mistakenly deleted my message application from my iPhone X. The app is still on my iPad. How do I get it back on the phone?

according to this support article, the Messages app is not one that you can delete

It looks like you are running iOS 14. You probably just 'removed' the app.
If you swipe left on your home screen until you get to the App Library at the end.. pull down and you'll get a list of your apps listed alphabetically. Find Messages, tap/hold/drag the app back out to your Home Screen
