Were people able to order the iphone 12 using the MyID military discount? I am already verified but I'm not sure if I have to wait until the phone is actually on sale to use the discount.

Tonight I tried to purchase the 12pro with my verified military ID discount, but was informed by the Chat Specialist that the new 12 products are not included in the military discount at this time, but to check back later.
I'm not sure why the Chat Specialist is saying "it's not discounted." Here is the stated price listed in the regular Apple Store:
Yes, the purchase of a 12 series is possible, but it’s not discounted. The Chat Specialist that assisted me said to keep checking back for future inclusion for a military discount.
Yes you can use your military discount to order but I believe you have to order your phone unlocked without any attachment to a mobile carrier
