Headphone mic sensitivity too low

I brought a bluetooth headphone (Boat Rockerz 510). It's mic works perfectly with my android smartphone, but with my macbook Pro, its sensitivity is too low making it completely unusable.

With inbuilt microphone I can see the input level rise as I speak normally but with my bluetooth mic, the input rises little bit only when I shout.

I have used https://online-voice-recorder.com/ to record my voice with bluetooth mic, and I only hear my voice when I scream. With builtin mic, it works as expected.

This brings me to the conclusion that my bluetooth mic is working but somehow mac doesn't register its sensitivity as expected.
