MTLcompilerservice

Why are there so many of these running when I don't use spotlight? There's also always a ton or IMremoteURLconectionagents running while my computer is doing basically nothing it starts overheating and then the fans go off. What do you think is going on? What is the purpose of mtlcompilerservice and why do so many need to be going off at the same time?

Are you having any issues, if so state what they are...

You can file a bug report if it is a concern...Apple Feedback http://www.apple.com/feedback

I see CPU % 0.0 Typically there are always multiple instances of the process.

The MTLCompilerService processes are Metal support services, used by apps that leverage Apple's Metal graphics framework..

Metal (Apple language for 3D rendering on their GPUs) into GPU code that runs on the specific GPU in your device, with the current graphics settings.

What exact Mac is this—

What exact macOS are you currently running?

What current GPU are you running on?

To trouble shoot further you can:

—Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc. Login and test. Reboot and test as caches get rebuilt.

In Safe mode third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled, it removes malware, etc hampering smooth operation, however a reboot will put it back to normal mode.

This test will tell you if third party interference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

Well my issues include being unable to access any Apple related website but that might be my router or modem or something, I switched hard drives and the one with Ubuntu installed could access apples website but it's super slow.

I found out I have something called tcc installed which is some kind of malware, it's in my system files it's got permissions that I don't have so I can't delete it. Every now and then my mouse cursor will move on its on twitching around and starts resizing my windows. Don't know how to get rid of this problem. Anyways I suspect that those several mtl instances have something to do with it. My computer is doing literally nothing and suddenly the fan starts going off full throttle and the computer is as hot as it gets. I would format my hard rive for the 100th time and reinstall if it weren't for the fact that I can't seem to access Apple servers from my computer it's like blocked by my isp or my modem/routers been hacked and access to Apple has been blocked off or something I don't know. Having to use my phone to post.

Also about the image does this look normal at all?

This is a macbook pro mid2012

Running Mac os Catalina (latest version)

GPU I think is Intel HD Graphics 4000

I'll try logging into a different user I guess.
