What's the sensor on iPhone 12 Pro?
Hi all,
Does anybody know what is the new sensor on right side below power button? (see picture attached). I didn't find any information about it
iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

If I use a cover will it not be able to access 5G
Why don't I have it on my Grey Pro Max and have it on my Gold Pro Max?
It is an antenna for 5G ultra wide band.
You're welcome :) Enjoy your new iPhone 12 Pro!
MM wave antenna for 5G.
Ideally the cover should have a cutout, because mm waves have trouble passing through anything. But a simple plastic or leather case shouldn’t make much difference. Right now the issue is moot, anyway, because there is practically no ultra wideband 5G available anywhere.
Thanks!
It is not required on all models, as not all regions use the same 5G frequencies.

Because you have models for different regions.
What are the model numbers for the two phones?
